Simple Enjoyment
Paul Nii-Aryee

When I consider all of my experience with the Christian Students club, the two words that come to mind are: simple and enjoyment. I have been involved with Christian Students mainly in two ways. First, as a student in college I enjoyed the one on one care I received from some more mature Christians who volunteered their time for the Christian Students club. In particular as a student I appreciated the fact that usually at least once a week I would have a meal in a host families home. I enjoyed the fact that although I was so far away from home, I always had a hospitable family to go and spend time with (not to mention the fact that I would often be able to take home leftovers to munch on later). Not only did my relationship with Christian Students allow me to get fed physically; more importantly the time I spent with the Christian Students club caused me to grow in the Lord. From my time spent in one on one contact and small group meetings I not only gained a broader and deeper understanding of the word, I also enjoyed Christ as a living person.

I believe that my time spent with the Christian Students club on campus gave me the desire to do the exact same thing that the full-time volunteers of the club do. Currently I am a volunteer with the Christian Students club. My top enjoyment is sharing the word with people and seeing them enjoy the same Christ that I have tasted again and again.
