| A Practical Salvation |

I was born into a Christian family as the second of three children. Although I really believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior, I did not have that many genuine practical experiences in my ordinary Christian life. There was no question regarding my eternal salvation, but I needed to be saved everyday in a practical way from the temptations in the world. For my practical salvation, I needed some companions with whom I could flee youthful lusts by pursuing Christ in a positive way.
I am grateful to the Lord that I found Christian Students. There were many young people my age who were my patterns in being a lover of Christ. I discovered that these people were lovers of Christ in a normal way. It was normal to read the Bible, it was normal to pray for one another, it was normal to meet together to enjoy the Lord Jesus, and it was normal to be a Christian on a college campus.
One time I became very distraught over a stressful situation due to some tests. Finding my prayer companion, we just prayed for the situation. Although I did not give him any details, he just knew that I was having a hard time; his support helped me get through that stressful time. There are many other instances like this one and all of them speak of how the Lord saved me in a practical way through the many believers I met here at Christian Students. Praise Him! We can pursue the Lord with those who call on Him out of a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22).
